Patricia King is the product of diverse public schools. After graduating from Howard University in 1982, Patricia spent the next 3 years of her life as a public school teacher in Norfolk, Virginia. She then went on to attend Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee to become a physician and completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees.

In 1996 Patricia King opened her own medical practice in Greenbrier, Chesapeake. She also is a frequent speaker in the community, educating the public on mental health. She is highly regarded professionally by peers and clients. Patricia is also a member of various community service organizations throughout Hampton Roads.

Most importantly, Patricia King is a devoted mother who raised 3 children in the city of Chesapeake and believes that her role as a homeowner, business owner, voter, and educator in this city has thoroughly prepared her for the Chesapeake School Board.
